Leadershift FAQ

What is Leadershift?

Leadershift is our yearly event for all managers to come together and learn how to effectively lead at Databricks.

Leadershift is a single day of training. Leaders need only attend a single session at the location nearest to them. Select leaders in Sales and FE will be invited to attend a second day of training called Propel. Eligible participants will receive a personalized invite for these events.

Leaders must plan to attend the Leadershift session closest to your home office. Most office locations have multiple sessions to account for vacation time or other scheduling conflicts. If you are a remote employee, you must select the session/location that will require the least amount of travel.

We are partnering with Sales and FE to run two day sessions at select locations in FY26. At these sessions, managers will attend Leadershift on day 1 and Propel on day 2. These sessions are invite only.

While attendance is not required, leadership strongly encourages all managers to make time to attend one session.

All travel expenses will be covered out of your department's budget. Please be sure to discuss your travel plans with your manager prior to registering for your Leadershift session.

All business extensions are permitted upon VPs approval. Please work directly with your manager and VP if you wish to extend your stay beyond the dates associated with Leadershift

Travel should be booked as soon as possible. Any last minute travel booked less than 14 days out needs to be approved by your direct manager.
