This workshop is for data analysts, analytics engineers, BI developers, and data architects who want to serve data at scale and enable self-service for business users. It covers how Databricks SQL is built: serverless/classic compute warehouses, AI-driven performance tuning, and a single governance model in Unity Catalog for every data source and consumer.
Instructors then run a live demo that follows data from raw register feeds through a medallion architecture to the serving tools each team uses every day: SQL for analysts, Genie for store and regional managers, and dashboards for executives. Governed tables and a single definition for every business metric keep all of them returning the same numbers.
