Title: Introducing Databricks Apps
Speaker: Sebastian Grünwald - Solutions Architect Databricks
Description:
Imagine building and hosting business applications directly on the Lakehouse—no extra infrastructure, no data movement. With Databricks Apps, this vision becomes reality. Databricks Apps empower developers to create applications using their preferred Python frameworks, seamlessly hosting them within Databricks. This means your applications live exactly where your data does, fully leveraging the features, performance, and security of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
In this talk, we’ll guide you through the journey of using Databricks Apps
- starting with a quick start on how to deploy your first app
- exploring advanced app-building techniques, including the integration of modern front-end frameworks like React
- uncovering the technical backgrounds of Databricks Apps, to see how it bridges the gap between data engineering and application development
- Sneak peeking into the roadmap, showcasing how this newest addition to the Databricks ecosystem is set to redefine data-driven application development
Whether you’re a developer, data scientist, or architect, this session will provide the inspiration and tools you need to unlock new possibilities with Databricks Apps.
